Mandala

As a psychologist indebted to Carl Jung's ideas, the Mandala holds special meaning. It was Jung who brought the symbolism of the Mandala into psychology. As a painter, I can connect with the experience of energy moving in and out from a center; and of a tension being created by this energy potentially constrained by the square frame.  In psychotherapy this tension is ever present. Order from chaos, energy transformed, a union of opposites, separation and reunion, aspirations of transpersonal connection are all experienced.
