I began painting 40 years ago. At the time I traveled the world playing professional tennis, competing in numerous professional tournaments including all of the major tournaments, Wimbledon, the Australian Open, the US Open and the French Open. Traveling for 40 weeks a year and being naturally introverted resulted in many hours alone in hotel rooms where I painted on canvas and read before venturing out to explore the various cities all over the world. It was quite an education in architecture, history, and art. After retiring from the tennis tour I decided to expand my fascination with Carl Jung's work and began my studies in psychology. I attained a doctorate in clinical psychology and opened a private practice. Throughout I have painted exploring various themes and applying a psychological awareness into my paintings.
